I'm on my second house renovation. It's a victorian, about 160 years old. I can't say I've literally been through every square inch of it yet, but it's close. Most of the walls and floors to have been opened to rewire, replace plumbing, insulate, etc. Usually, when you open stuff up, you'll find things. Stuff lost or forgotten a long time ago. So far, no gold bars or diamond rings (dammit!).... just cool old dirty stuff.
